A premier institution in Western Odisha, Jharsuguda Pharmacy College was established by the ASA Trust with a mission to serve the community by providing quality pharmacy education. Recognized by the Government of Odisha’s Health & Welfare Department and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi, the college offers a two-year diploma program aimed at training skilled professionals to meet healthcare needs effectively.
The college is managed by Chairman and Managing Trustee, Dr. Ashok Kumar Satpathy, a visionary leader in pharmacy education with over four decades of expertise. Dr. Satpathy is also the founder of the Gayatri Group of Institutions in Sambalpur, which has significantly shaped healthcare education, producing alumni who contribute both nationally and internationally.
Under Dr. Satpathy’s guidance, the Gayatri Group has expanded its focus beyond pharmacy to include physiotherapy, nursing, and medical lab technology (DMLT and BMLT) institutions, further enriching Odisha’s healthcare education landscape. Through these colleges, Dr. Satpathy continues to foster a new generation of healthcare professionals across multiple disciplines.

It is a pleasure to announce that Jharsuguda Pharmacy College has launched a new two-year Diploma in Pharmacy program. This program, is affiliated to Odisha State board of pharmacy and recognized by the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Odisha, and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, is dedicated to providing quality education in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.
To serve the local community, the college has also opened an OPD, offering essential healthcare services. For students pursuing a career in the medical field, the Diploma in Pharmacy program is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable skills and knowledge in healthcare and community service.

Producing students with good grades is not enough for helping them lead a fruitful life. This is why more focus needs to be given to preparing students with morals, ethics, and soft skills.
Today’s education system faces a greater challenge in terms of imparting the right knowledge and the apt experience that blend to create wonderful, young, and successful students. We, at Jharsuguda Pharmacy College, provide an atmosphere for multifaceted development, where students are encouraged to channelize their potential in the pursuit of excellence. The world has become highly competitive, and to prepare our students to face the stiff competition, our college has adopted pedagogy to meet all ever-changing challenges.
